Axiomatic Characterization of Ordinary Differential Cohomology

چکیده
Ĥ satisfies the Character Diagram shown in §1 and thus has natural transformations onto both closed differential forms with integral periods and integral cohomology. It was shown in [6] that an enriched version of the Weil homomorphism, carrying both an invariant polynomial and an associated integral homology class of the classifying space, naturally factors through Ĥ on its way to these targets. Based on this and other considerations, Ĥ has been shown to have useful applications to a number of areas, including conformal geometry and flat bundles. Most recently, the characters, perhaps generalized to relate to K-theory, have appeared in descriptions of quantizations of field theory related to super gravity and string theory, cf. [14].

On ω-limit sets of nonautonomous differential equations
In this paper the ω-limit behaviour of trajectories of solutions of ordinary differential equations is studied by methods of an axiomatic theory of solution spaces. We prove, under very general assumptions, semi-invariance of ω-limit sets and a PoincaréBendixon type theorem.
متن کاملCohomology of aff(1|1) acting on the space of bilinear differential operators on the superspace IR1|1
We consider the aff(1)-module structure on the spaces of bilinear differential operators acting on the spaces of weighted densities. We compute the first differential cohomology of the Lie superalgebra aff(1) with coefficients in space Dλ,ν;µ of bilinear differential operators acting on weighted densities. We study also the super analogue of this problem getting the same results.
متن کاملOn Asymptotically Autonomous Differential Equations in the Plane
In this paper, we study qualitative behaviour of trajectories of solutions of perturbed autonomous differential equations in the plane. We work in the framework of an axiomatic theory of solution spaces of ordinary differential equations suggested by V. V. Filippov (see the survey [7] and the references therein). This theory provides a unified approach to the study of solutions of ordinary diff...
متن کاملOn the Attraction and Stability of Sets with Respect to Solutions of Ordinary Differential Equations
An analysis of the concepts of attraction and stability of solutions of ordinary differential equations is normally concerned with a study of one equation near its stationary point or invariant set. This paper is concerned with a more general situation: we consider attraction and stability of sets with respect to solutions of a family of differential equations. Our analysis will be carried out ...
متن کاملEffective de Rham Cohomology - The General Case
Grothendieck has proved that each class in the de Rham cohomology of a smooth complex affine variety can be represented by a differential form with polynomial coefficients. We prove a single exponential bound on the degrees of these polynomials for varieties of arbitrary dimension. More precisely, we show that the p-th de Rham cohomology of a smooth affine variety of dimension m and degree D ca...
